1) Операция, при которой заем в одной стране в местной валюте предоставляется в обмен на заем в другой стране в другой валюте (например, заем в долларах США в обмен на заем в фунтах стерлингов Великобритании);
2) кредит, открываемый банком на основе другого кредита (например, если английская фирма приобретает хлопок в Египте, а затем продает его бельгийской компании в кредит, тогда эта фирма может использовать кредитное обязательство для взаиморасчетов с египетской стороной);
3) схема, согласно которой банк сводит вместе заемщика и кредитора, с тем чтобы они могли договориться об условиях контракта;
4) механизм, имеющий отношение к ссудам с колеблющейся ставкой процента, предоставляемым заемщику Международной финансовой корпорацией за счет заемных средств МБРР. Так же называется операция со сбалансированным по срокам финансированием.
